Semmaster's Thoughts

Steven Eugene Miller was born February 22, 1955 in Springfield, Ohio to Clarence Fred and Winifred Ann(Armstrong)Miller. Steven is the 7th born and 8th child in the union of Clarence and Winifred Miller. His parents had ten children with two sets of twins of which Steven was born one year and one day after the first set of twins and two and a half years before the second set. At the age of fourteen, Steven's life took a drastic turn. His brother, Tommy, drowned in a lake on a farm that his father was painting. Not to go into details, but Tommy was his idol, his mentor, his god. Tommy was 16 yrs. old on that dreadful day. Tommy was every thing Steven wasn't, he was tall and muscular, athletic and daring but most of all Steven, not only wanted to be like his brother but he wanted to be Tommy. His first self-published book, Semmaster's Thoughts (Life of A Little Man), is a condensed version of the life of Steven Eugene Miller, in the form of poetry.
Semmaster's Thoughts are a series of poems partitioned by the emotional reflections of a man who has finally taken control of his body, mind and soul from the demons within. The Great Master has awakened my senses to the sweet smells, sounds and sights of a literary world full of the essence, verbal expressions and visions that has long been ascending from gut to mouth to paper, the truth as it reflects the path I must trek to enter into the Mansion of The Creator. The second book in the Semmaster's Thoughts series is Semmaster's World Of Haiku. Semmaster's World Of Haiku is a photographic view of a ancient Japanese form of prose, written and illustrated, only in the way Semmaster brings it to life...
Haiku is a minimalist form of poetry. The writer has 17 or fewer syllables through which to convey an experience, usually about nature, weather or way of life. The sequence follows as five-seven-five lines (5-syllables 7-syllables-5-syllables). Semmaster added his own special touch on this ancient Japanese form of prose by placing three of them under one heading. See example:

The Ark of God's Plan
To be one with His people
For them to serve Him

Take care of My home
Obey the laws of IAM
IAM with you all

I will be with thee
I will walk with thee on earth
Ye will not know me

my name is Steven Eugene Miller and I have written a book unlike that of any book you have read. This is a little book with a huge message about a little man who has lived an extraordinary life
You can read an excerpt of my book at
I'm asking everyone following me on Twitter to, at least, take a look at my bio and the two books, Semmaster's Thoughts (Life of A Little Man) and Semmaster's World Of Haiku here on The proceeds of the selling of these books will go to my father, Clarence Fred Miller, (85 yrs.) who has a huge burden on his back, being the caretaker of my eldest sister, Brenda Joyce Miller-Perymon (64 yrs), who is in a nursing home and my mother, Winifred Ann Miller, 80 yrs, who has lost both of her legs due to the systems of Diebetes and is, recently, recovering from open heart surgery after suffering a major heart attack in December of 2010. If I could get each one of you, following me on Twitter, to buy one or both of my books, we could get a specialized van for to transport my mother and sister back and forth to hosp. appts. and such. Also my parents are living on a fixed income and my sister's needs, far exceed, the funds she recieves. I ask nothing for myself, for I am a retired disabled vet making enough for my wife and I, plus a small amount for my parents and her mother (who lives in Korea).

Semmaster is the pseudonym that I choose,
It's the essence of who I am and what I do,
The S stands for Steven, a crown of great worth,
"E" is Eugene, well born of this earth,
The Surname is Miller, from father to son,
The Master is whom I seek and hope someday to become,
One with his spirit, intertwined with his soul,
The master of my own destiny with the knowledge to know,
That through Christ I stand here all naked and clothed,
With the innocence of his blood and the warmth of his soul,
I am just a man, as you can see,
I'm not holier than thou nor more righteous than thee,
If you smack me in the face, I won't turn the other cheek,
Mess with my family...Your life I will seek,
I live each day as if it were the last,
I study the holy scripture I pray and I fast,
For knowledge to guide me through these troubling days,
As I etch out my path through life's deadly maze,
When life's arduous journey reaches the end of,
This physical form and my new life begins,
May the Lord lay me down for now and hereafter,
GOOD JOB Semmaster."
